About
March of the Ants sets up in five minutes, plays in a little over an hour, yet provides a rich world building and 4X experience in the vein of games like Eclipse and Twilight Imperium. Empires of the Earth deepens this experience while preserving everything that made March of the Ants a success.  Whether you are a veteran of the Meadow, or new to the game, this campaign has something for everyone!
March of the Ants, first launched in 2014, was brought to life with the help of over 1,600 enthusiastic backers. Minions of the Meadow expanded the game significantly in 2017. Now we are back with our third installment, Empires of the Earth. Join us as we venture even deeper into the realm of the ants!
In March of the Ants, each player works to create a thriving ant colony, growing their nest economy and sending their ants forth into the meadow. Will your colony seek a path of symbiosis and peaceful coexistence, dedicate your colony’s resources to evolving your species, or pursue aggressive expansion while challenging other ants for territory? March of the Ants is a quick-playing, dynamic, open-ended game that offers complex decision making and multiple paths to victory.
Empires of the Earth introduces two new mechanics and card types as well as 18 new game bending Ant cards, brought to life by some of the best board game artists in the world!
-  Sculpt a Darwinian Edge: In Empires of the Earth, players draft Mutations to jump-start their colonies with asymmetric abilities. These Mutations let players craft their strategies from the start of the game and kick the game into high gear from the very first turn.
- Â Build Your Nest:Â Expand your underground empire with Nest Chambers, a brand new card type that lets you use your nest inhabitants to unlock powerful, recurring abilities.
-  More of Everything! Empires of the Earth includes 18 new Evolutions, Events and Colony Goals that will let you diversify your strategy and grow your colony in exciting new ways. Maintain a delicate balance with the Peacekeeper head, or spread poisoned spores with Cult of the Gray Queen.
- Â A Rich and Diverse Colony:Â To celebrate the world of March of the Ants, we reached out to our favorite artists from around the globe. This new expansion to March of the Ants features art from Vincent Dutrait, Mr. Cuddington, the Mico, and more!
(Empires of the Earth is an expansion; a copy of the base game is required to play.)
