In Kamigami Battles: Rise of the Old Ones, you will play as one of the Great Old Ones competing for dominance. You will recruit Warriors and Disciples to fight in epic battles against the gods trying to conquer your domain! Each god has a pool of life force called energy, and by reducing all other gods to ZERO energy, you will assert your dominance over the Mythos.
Kamigami Battles is a deckbuilding game for 2-6 players. Players can choose to pair up with their friends in a Team Match or wage war on all those who oppose them in Free-For-All. Either way, your goal is the same — destroy all opposing gods by reducing them to zero energy or by being first to reach 25 energy.
At the beginning of the game, each player will choose one god and one location card, giving you a unique set of abilities with every game play. You will then set up 3 Disciples, 6 random warriors, and 3 random artifacts.
Rise of the Old Ones comes in a box measuring 8.5″ x 8.5″ x 3.25″ (21.6cm x 21.6cm x 8.25cm) – the same size as previous base Kamigami Battles games. There’s plenty of room inside for all the cards in sleeves, as well as the cards from the two expansions. Although all of the Kamigami Battles games can be played together, we recommend storing the base boxes to one base game and two expansions.
Inside of the base game are:
- 18 oversized (126mm x 88mm) cards – 12 gods and 6 locations
- 192 standard (88mm x 63mm) cards – 90 disciples, 90 warriors and 12 artifacts
- 21 randomizer cards
- 50 energy tokens
- 22 Dividers
- Rulebook
Each expansion is sold individually and comes in a box measuring 6.25″ x 3.9″ x 1.4″ (14cm x 10cm x 3.6cm) – again, the same size as previous Kamigami Battles expansions. They do require a base game to play!
Inside each expansion are:
- 7 oversized (126mm x 88mm) cards – six gods and one location
- The Stars Are Right has 98 standard cards (45 Warrior cards – 5 per type, 5 Artifacts and 48 Disciple I cards), 15 randomizers and 15 dividers
- Into the Dreamlands has 69 standard cards (45 Warrior cards – 5 per type, 6 Artifacts and 18 Disciple III cards), 16 randomizers and 16 dividers
If you’ve played either of the previous versions of Kamigami Battles (Battle of the Nine Realms or River of Souls), you’ll recognize the same great gameplay – but new gods have arrived, along with their warriors and disciples. Brand-new for this version of Kamigami Battles, we’ve added Artifact cards, and were lucky enough to work with RPG and Magic: The Gathering card artist Brian Snoddy, who created some absolutely amazing pieces for this new mechanic.
PLUS, he provided us with five original pieces of  artifact art to be used in special limited pledge levels – this is your chance to own an original piece of art! We encourage you to visit his website, and check out some of the artifacts waiting for you, below!!!!!!
